Current Weekend Series
We live in a world that pulls us in a thousand different directions, often at breakneck speeds. We are bombarded with slogans, ads, images, and commercials that are constantly telling us to give ourselves to their product, idea, or worldview. And before we know it, we are trying to give ourselves to everything, everywhere without having stopped to consider what is of the highest and ultimate value. Our world races to fragment us into a million little dis-integrated versions of what we were created to be.
But from the pages of the Scriptures, we hear of another way to live. Where the message is not towards fragmentation, but unity. We hear another way of living where we are called not to everything, but to one thing. The number one appears repeatedly in Scripture. We are told that we are to have one faith, one Lord, one baptism, and become part of one body. Jesus prays that we would become one. In this four week series, we decide about the one thing will then put every other thing in it’s rightful place. And having done that, life will not only become simpler, less stressful, but also more joyful.
Week 1: One Lord, One Faith
Week 2: One Baptism
Week 3: One Body
Week 4: One Prayer
Our new four week series begins August 14/15 at all five of our weekend services. Grab a friend or family member, and join us!
