What is so important about Life Groups?
What are Life Groups?
Life Groups are small gatherings of people who meet throughout the week in homes, apartments, or coffee shops around Los Angeles. They are made up of people who want to grow spiritually and connect with others who are going in the same direction. They are places to build friendships, but more than that, they are groups where people can safely ask questions and take steps towards deeper commitment to Christ. Put simply: they are groups of people like you who are looking for a way to become more like Jesus.
What do Life Groups do?
Every Life Group is different, but some of the things they might do include: studying Scripture, praying, sharing books and ideas, discussing current topics, laughing, playing, eating, offering support and encouragement, and serving others.
Why should you join one?
Life change happens in life groups. They offer you the chance to:
- Learn more about God, ask questions, and grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus
- Connect with others in the CA community
- Find encouragement and support to help you face the challenges of life
- Expand your vision of what God can do in and through your life
Whether you are investigating faith or have been following Jesus for years, Life Groups are for you!
How do I join?

Click on the "Find a Group" button below.
- Use the search filters to browse the list of groups and find a few that seem right for you. You can search for groups according to day, time, gender mix, etc.
- Contact the leaders of the groups you are interested in (click on the group name to email the leader). They will tell you all about their group and let you know when you can come check it out.
- If you have any questions, or problems finding a group, email us by clicking here. We would love the opportunity to connect with you and help you find a life group

available to all who call CA home. For this to happen, we need leaders.
If you are interested in leading a Life Group email us by clicking here and let us know what service you attend and the best way to reach you.
You may also join us at our next Life Group Leader Training. We will cover the fundamentals of Life Group Leadership and give you an idea of what starting a group would mean for you. Attending does not obligate you to start a
group. It will give you a clearer picture of what leading involves. Join us!
