First Impressions Team

What is the purpose of First Impressions?

The purpose of First Impressions Ministries is to extend a genuine greeting of love, warmth and acceptance to every individual that attends Christian Assembly. We serve with hearts of grace and devotion as we welcome both visitors and CA family into the pursuit of a complete and total commitment to Jesus Christ.

First Impressions is all about providing the best experience to each and every person on our campus and we rely on our volunteer teams to make that possible. All our volunteer schedule consists of four rotating teams that serve one service once every four weeks.

What are the ways I can serve on the First impressions team?

Ushers:

The role of an usher is broken into two parts: relational and meeting practical needs. Ushers are one of the first people our guests interact with during our services and this first impression usually sets the tone for the guest’s entire experience.  A smile, a hello and a handshake go a long way. Ushers also distribute materials including the weekly bulletin, direct and seat individuals, collect offerings, serve communion and provide assistance as needed.

Connection Center:

The Connection Center is our information center located in the lobby on both of our campuses; it is where we have all our informational materials as well as sign-ups and registrations for upcoming classes and events. Our volunteers serve in one of two ways: at our Information Board, Sign-Up table and at our New People’s Table. The common goal is to make sure our guests have a place they can go to and get questions answered and direction as to how to get connected in the life of Christian Assembly.

Parking Lot Attendants:

We have over 2000 people that attend one of our five weekend services and most of them arrive by car. Our Parking Lot Attendants oversee our parking lots to direct cars both parking and dropping off family members. They also ensure there is adequate parking for our elderly and handicap guests. Safety is a top priority at Christian Assembly and our Parking Lot Attendants make safety possible.

Tech Team:

Our weekend services requires a team of volunteers who are dedicated and trained to run our technical equipment to provide a quality experience each weekend. There are three ways to serve on the tech team: Camera, Lyrics and Sound Volunteers. Some experience is required but training is provided for new volunteers.
